Pregnancy

Hello prospective parent(s), and welcome!

Thank you for dropping by to see who I am, and what I offer.

I'm Millie, a passionate hypnobirthing practitioner, birth & postnatal doula, breastfeeding peer support volunteer, and most importantly, a fierce advocate for comprehensive antenatal education.

My approach is to offer a blend of knowledge, comfort, and empowerment tailored to your individual needs.

Antenatally, we will fully explore your options and useful birth techniques, equipping you with the tools and knowledge to make informed decisions about your care.

I will guide you through what to expect, helping you build confidence and feel prepared for the birth of your baby.

Through Hypnobirthing, I teach relaxation techniques, mindfulness, and breathing exercises to help you manage the intensity of labor with calm and confidence. Together, we create a positive mindset around birth, helping you to release any fear and trust your body’s natural ability.

If you're looking for a doula, or hypnobirthing practitioner who empowers you to feel confident, offers expertise with a gentle approach, and helps you navigate your birth experience with calm and clarity, I'd love to connect with you.

Let's work together to create a positive birth experience that aligns with your values and goals, ensuring you feel heard, respected, and nurtured  every step of the way.

My Story...

I’m Millie, a wife and proud mother of 2 lively little girls living in a quaint village on the border between Chester and Wrexham.

My philosophy is the process of well-informed positive birthing.

I’ve always been completely encapsulated by the physiology of birth, along with the notion of a labouring mother feeling held, guided and supported in her choices to birth her baby without bias or judgement.

My journey into birth work started with my own experiences as a mother.

When I first became pregnant, I felt excited but also overwhelmed by all the unknowns that lay ahead.

My births were eye-opening and, at times, challenging, but they also sparked a deep desire to help others navigate their own birth journeys with more confidence, clarity, and support.

I quickly realised how transformative knowledge can be. I strongly believe that there was (and still is) a gap in accessible, comprehensive antenatal education that truly prepared me for what was to come.

I saw how the decisions I made during my own births—both the ones I felt supported in and the ones I felt unheard in, shaped my overall experience.

This realisation sparked a fire in me—something shifted. I knew I wanted to offer something different to other parents-to-be. Something that would empower them with knowledge, support their voices, and help them make informed choices about their care.

My work is 100% driven by my own personal experiences, and desire to ensure that all parents have the access to the support and education they deserve.

I am here to be your advocate. Ensure your voice is heard, honour your decisions, and foster a space where you can navigate your birth process with confidence and trust in your ability.

It will be a tremendous honour and privilege to be invited into your space to support you throughout this magical occasion.

The Doula effect…

"A doula is a non-medical professional who provides companionship, guidance, advocacy, informational and emotional support during pregnancy, birth and the postnatal period"

Research has shown that having a doula present through childbirth has many positive outcomes, such as:

Reduced anxiety & stress in birthing

mother's

Reduced requests for pain relief

Reduced caesarean birth rate

Reduced risk of an instrumental birth

Increased positive birth experience

Reduced rate of induction

Increased likelihood of initiating

breastfeeding

How can I support you?

Doula at Home

Supporting both Mum and Baby - your needs matter!

As your doula, I believe that caring for a newborn starts with caring for the mother.

The perinatal journey is a time of profound change, and nurturing 'mum' is just as crucial as nurturing your newborn.

As such, I understand that the needs of a new family can vary greatly-emotionally, physically and mentally, therefore, my primary focus is to offer flexible support tailored to you.

Whether you need a quiet moment of rest, help with infant feeding, guidance with newborn care, or simply someone to listen, i'm here to foster a space where you feel comfortable and heard.

Your well-being is at the heart of my care, and together we'll create a plan that respects your individual journey.
